The term of halo ring refers to diamond rings in which the center diamond is surrounded by smaller diamonds.

In this way, the center stone stands out uniquely and gives the feeling of a larger central stone. The halo line on the rings first appeared in the 1920s, and is the second most popular type of wedding proposal ring, after the classic solitaire ring. So a ring in a halo line can look bigger and more impressive than a classic single stone ring with a smaller diamond as the center stone.

The well-known and classic rosettes are a subcategory of halo rings as there are also in them perimeter stones whose design usually resembles a flower.
